Fusion Packaging’s Shine FX Laminate Tube was awarded the 2016 ADF & PCD Packaging Innovation Award. The prestigious awards competition annually recognizes excellence in packaging where an independent jury of packaging experts from leading brands and journalists review the array of new products vying for an Innovation Award.

The winning entry was a custom metallic airless tube for Urban Decay’s recently launched, One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector Broad Spectrum SPF 20, part of the brand’s iconic Naked Skin line. Urban Decay opted for Fusion’s Shine FX airless ABL laminate tube, which incorporates an aluminum film layer to provide better barrier protection from outside air, light and moisture exposure and allow for premium decoration.

Urban Decay’s edgy aesthetic required incorporating the brand’s challenging custom metallic gunmetal with a high-shine bronzed gradient effect accomplished through Gravure printing.  A shiny silver hot stamp and custom debossed ‘UD’ logo on the airless tube’s overcap completes the unique decoration and design.
