Fusion Packaging has been awarded the 2010 International Package Design Awards (IPDA) for its creative and innovative re-packaging of RE9 Advanced by Arbonne.  This prestigious award was presented at the HBA Global Expo in New York City last month.  Winners in each of the nine categories were announced September 28, 2010 at Jacob K. Javitz Convention Center in Manhattan.  Winners were recognized for their models in skincare, personal care, fragrance, cosmetics and sustainable packaging.  2010 marked the 10th anniversary for the IPDA awards and they celebrated by naming the year’s finest in the packaging industry.

The panel of judges, all industry professionals, reviewed hundreds of beauty products with a focus on concept, creative use of materials, design, originality, components, technical competency, decorating and brand messaging.  “Fusion is truly humbled to have been chosen as the winner of the IPDA award for Skin Care Prestige at this year’s event,” said Derek Harvey, Co-CEO of Fusion Packaging.

Fusion was given the challenge of repackaging Arbonne’s premier, flagship line while maintaining the traits and qualities that made RE9 the success it is.  “RE9 is Arbonne’s most successful line.  We felt a great responsibility in creating a new look that not only upgraded the functionality but also maintained the overall essence of the original line,” Harvey continued.

From the early stages of the project, Fusion’s direction was clear; update the look while keeping the features that made the brand one of the most recognizable and successful skincare brands in the world.  “Packaging sells products and Arbonne has raised the bar.  There is a new standard and we are excited about our relationship with the Arbonne organization and the ability to share this extraordinary award with them,” Harvey added.

The new RE9 line includes airless bottles, jars and tubes supplied by Fusion. "Fusion Packaging proved to be an excellent partner on this project. Their knowledge and experience in projects of this magnitude was clearly displayed as our aggressive speed to market timetable was met without interruption," said Greg Chambers, Arbonne’s VP of global supply chain.
